Well, smashed the previous record by a month... Plenty to talk about, whether I'll remember it all is the thing... Memory like a siv at the moment.. :-D

Lets see.. Since I last blogged (in the dim and distant past), I have gone from contractor to permanent member of staff at SBS NAfW. Am now one of the more senior analysts on the desk (in terms of time) - and thats a bit rich, since I have only been there 7 months!

I met up with Becky from 24Chat a few weeks ago, spent the morning wandering in a figure-of-8 around Swansea with her. That was the first 24chat meet! Had a good time, catching up (I say catching up, but we hadn't actually met before, so it was kind of introducing ourselves..), I gave her updates on the rest of the 24chat members (who were there when she was).. And just generally chatting. Oh, and I met Rich, her "fella".

I've recently started to go to pub quizzes each week down the Chats in Pencoed, with Rhian, James, John W, Cath, Craig L, and a few others who aren't as committed as us, and don't turn up every week..

Went for a works night out in Hollywood Bowl, Cardiff Bay about 6-8 weeks ago. There was about 120ish people there, all from SBS NAfW (Siemens had hired the building out for the night), so got to know a few people who I had spoken to, but never met. Twas a rather good night.

Was supposed to meet up with some people who had left Siemens recently for a drink on Friday evening after work, but the trains were terrible (it was international day, as well as a football match and a rugby match being on in Cardiff); 3 trains pulled up while I was waiting at the station, each "packed the rafters" (didn't know they had rafters on trains), and so though they stopped, the doors didn't open, and we just stood in the cold and wet of the train station...

Hmm, can't think of anymore to post; although no doubt something will come to mind as I upload this...

So long for now!

Wow.. Its been nearly four months since my last confession.. sorry, blog.

Let's see.. I went to Edinburgh/Leeds for a stag weekend where we got Chris rather drunk.. I've been to a wedding in Edinburgh which was rather good.. I didn't get the IBO job, but now am working in the National Assembly for Wales as a "Support Desk Analyst"...

NAfW is a good place to work.. I don't work for them, but I work for Siemens Business Services, who provide IT & telecoms infrastructure to the Assembly. The SBS people are a good gang, there's been loads of parties.. Though most of them have been leaving do's... hmmm....

On Thursday, I went for a game of four-a-side football up in Uni with the boys, and on Friday, we had a BBQ to celebrate the end of uni for them. Results here.

Well, thats a very brief rundown of what's happened in the past 4 months... Though I can't think off the top of my head what else I've done.. I'm sure that once I've posted this, I'll think of plenty!

Just one last thing: Good luck to Tom, Rob, Craig, et al for their graduation, which will hopefully be in the next 2 months...

It's not normally the case that someone prompts me to blog. And, when someone does, it's normally a friend, who says "You haven't blogged for a while"... Well, there's an exception to every rule. And this one is rather exceptional...

For those of you that weren't aware, I went for an interview the other day. With the International Baccalaureate Organization, no less! Without wanting to blow my own trumpet, it went reasonably well. One minor complaint is that I was told Friday (the day of the interview) would be a tour of the office and an informal interview. If those went well, I would be called back for a formal interview. You can imagine how suprised I was with being told, on arrival, it was an office tour, informal interview, then a formal interview.

I tried not to let it faze me though.. OK, so I didn't give my best performance (probably), and (perhaps) I could have done with preparing for the formal interview, but I think I coped with the rapid-fire questions (try answering "Descibe yourself in 2 words" completely without any preperation... Then add to that "What are your best qualities.. What are your worst qualities"). Questions on my CV I had prepared for, as part of the informal interview... Nice bit of improv though :-D

Anyway, back to my point at the beginning of the post: The ICT Services Manager said he had been reading my website, and was suprised there wasn't a post on the blog about me having an interview with the IBO...

Well, better late than never...
