Well, just finished the BCS accreditation meeting.

Went well, they seemed fairly pleased, and I met up with an old friend.

Gavin, who used to be the Net Admin in Pencoed Comp when I was there, is now working up here, and studying part-time for a degree. So I spent a good half-hour talking with him outside the meeting room.

And also, some of you may have noticed the new feature of the blog: if you mouse over the page numbers above, they'll show the dates each page is for. Clever, eh?

Right, off to work!

#Happy Birthday to you#

3 years, nearly to the hour, since I passed my test. I noticed when my mother was phoning around for insurance for my car today...

Just came out of a meeting with Peter Hodson, head of the School of Computing in Uni, as I've been asked to respresent the school at an accreditation meeting with the British Computer Society on Thursday morning. I was given a nice little name badge and everything!

We've just got to tell the BCS what we think about the course, and the School in general. They asked all the student reps, apparently, to represent the school at the meeting.

So I'll be in on Thursday morning nice and early (9am), but won't be in on Friday due to a reading week! woohoo! I'll let you all know how the meeting goes.

Bloody hell, three posts in one day!

Just a quick thank you to Keith Norris, who helped me find out how to decode the stupid hex values my phone has been spouting out, although to think the method is difficult is a bit of an understatement.

Here it is.

Well, thats going to be fun to code...

And also, theres now a new list in the page o' lists

Couple of things I meant to blog this morning, and forgot. And one or two things I meant to blog later this morning, but forgot.

Firstly, the days are getting longer again! The sun was up when I got up at 7-30am this morning. Makes a change!

Secondly, I would like to direct the A&E team of the Royal Glamorgan Hospital to Rachel Oliver's absence yesterday morning. Apparently, after the heavy night on Saturday, she couldn't even open her eyes on Sunday morning for work. So the patients of A&E were left short-staffed because someone couldn't handle her drink. And I can safely say that, knowing she won't be reading this for a while. I hope my contact in the Royal Glam (mr Sicknote) will inform the appropriate people.

I would like to thank Phil for lending me a book he got for free- Mobile Communications (Second Edition) by Jochen Schiller. If I had (in some strange sort of intellectual fit) wanted to buy this book, it would have set me back £25 from amazon.

Oh, and hi to Jason, who I'm talking to while writing this blog entry!

Well, I haven't blogged in a while...Just been busy, I suppose.

On Saturday, I went out, to my great Gran's 90th Birthday party. Had a good time, and photos are now available online. See the photos section of the menu for the link.

Also, I'm a bit closer to sorting out the damn hex values my phone is spouting out...I went to see Keith on Friday, as he has a student doing something similar. He was going to ask him, and I'm going to pop back round to his office to see if he came up with anything. I also tried sending myself messages yesterday, to see if I could spot a pattern, hence the messages of ABC and ABCDEF, and I'll be sending one later of DEF, just to see if it throws up any recognisable patterns between the three...

Right, better get off and do some work, I suppose...
