24Chat - Episode 23
As the sun rises, Ryan puts on his sun glasses, he looks at his watch. "We have an hour and 15 minutes to reach the church before Dixie becomes Mrs Sutherland."
"Put your foot down Ryan"
Ryan puts his foot down but it goes too far down, and the accelerator pedal breaks off.
"CRRRRAAAPPP!" They all shout as the car loses speed and comes to a stand still.
Meanwhile…
"I spy with my little eye, something begining with K." Dixie says to Kiefer
"Umm is it me again?" he replies, clearly bored
"Yes, well done darling, nothing better then a game of eye-spy to get rid of the old pre-wedding nerves."
"I don't have those nerves as I'm not getting married." He tells her
"You'll do as you're told, now shut up"
Back at 24...24's old base, Littleb and 24...24 look at each other for what seems like the millionth time.
"Umm Becky?" 24…24 asks
"Yes?" she replies
"You gonna tell us who the new moderator is? You haven't said a word for 5 minutes." She points out
"Oh right, the new moderator is...."
Littleb looks at 24...24, 24...24 looks at Craig, Craig looks at the baby, the baby looks at DB.
"Ryan" Becky announces
Littleb gasps, DB faints, the baby falls asleep, Craig curses.
Back in the limo Dixie picks up her phone.
"Liam, where are you?" she asks
"We had to get the vicar, we hired a helicopter to get us here, we'll pick him up within the hour and will be back with you by the time of your wedding."
"Excellent work Liam." She tells him
Dixie hangs up. "Everything is going to plan, my sweet."
"Can you not call me that?" Kiefer asks
"NO!"
Liam’s helecopter lands, he tells his pilot to wait there and walks off towards a house. From a corner of the field he landed in 3 curious faces appear from the bushes, they spot Liam and turn their attention back to their broken down car.
"Looks like Liam's come to help us." Ryan says
Back at the house.
"We need to contact Ryan to tell him he’s the new moderator." Becky says
"I’ve been trying his phone for hours, but I can't get through." LittleB tells her
"Damn, keep on it."
A knock at the door makes everyone turn towards it, 24...24 goes to open it, Elisha is standing in the door way.
"Please, take me to Ryan." She asks
"We can't right now Elisha, but when we find out where he is, we will"
Elisha smiles.
Ryan, Zev and Vicky spot Liam walking back across the field with a vicar. Zev jumps out. "Liam, thank god, you came to save us."
"Thanks Liam." Ryan smiles and shakes Liam’s hand.
Liam looks shocked then realises that they don't know that he’s bad. "No problem guys."
"What's with the vicar?" Vicky asks
"It's a phony Vicar, to trick Dixie into thinking that she's been properly married."
"Good plan, it would normally take me 7 pints to think of a plan like that." Ryan says
"Well let's take this helicopter back to stop Dixie, once and for all."
"Yeah, let’s go."
As Ryan, Zev and Vicky get on the helicopter Liam looks around nervously. The helicopter takes off.
Becky tries Ryans phone again but can't get through. "I don't get it, why can't I get through?"
"The receptions probably bad, if there's anything I can do to help Becky, please say." Craig offers.
"OK Craig, why don't you go feed that thing."
"You mean the baby?"
"No, Daisy."
Liam's phone rings, he looks nervously at it and sees it's Dixie calling.
"Aren't you gonna answer it Liam?" Vicky asks
"It's only my mum."
"She's probably worried, tell her you're fine." Zev tells him
"Ooook, hi mum, it's me."
"Mum? What the hell are you on about boy?" Dixie snaps
"I’m with some friends right now."
"Liam! I told you no guests at my wedding, I suppose you can bring some friends as long as you got the vicar, have you got him?"
"Yes, but you don't understand, I’m with some friends."
"Liam, I do understand it's just I don't care, get that Vicar to me fast, we're just arriving at the church." She tells him
Liam hangs up.
"You OK Liam?" Ryan asks
"Yeah, never better." he laughs nervously.
Dixie's limo pulls up outside St Marks Church; she gets out dragging Kiefer behind her. As they enter the church the 24 theme tune starts playing.
"Just for our special day" Dixie points out, as Kiefer groans.
Becky tries one last attempt to reach Ryan and this time she gets through.
"Ryan, it's me, listen I need to know where you're heading."
"St Marks Church, Liam helped us out, he’s saved our neck, Dixie would have gotten away with this if he hadn't shown up."
"OK thanks Ryan and good luck." Becky tells him, and hangs up
Becky walks over to Littleb.
"I need you to take Elisha to St Marks Church, that's where Dixie and Kiefer are, Ryan's heading there now, I need you to take Elisha to him, understand?"
"Gotcha," LittleB says, and walks away. "Oh Becky, I want you to know, I voted for you."
Becky smiles.
Littleb takes Elisha out to a car, both of them get in and they drive to St Marks Church.
The helicopter containing Ryan, Zev, Vicky, Liam and the Vicar flies towards St Mark’s church.
Dixie changes into her wedding dress while Kiefer is forced into a suit by Mick and Will.
Liam keeps looking over his shoulder at Ryan; Ryan pats him on the shoulder. "You've done well today Liam."
"Thanks Ryan" Liam replies. He gulps one last time before looking out of the window of the helicopter.
