24Chat - Episode 22
Ryan drives north to Elok hall.
"You know, I had my doubts about working with Liam but he's done a great job today for us." He tells Zev and Vicky
Zev smiles at Ryan. "Talk about a long day huh?"
Ryan smiles back, Vicky pops up behind them.
"How long till we reach the hall?" she asks them
"45 minutes."
Liam stops midway through his dance. "Hold it, Zev mentioned that Dennis Haysbert is on his way here."
"Bugger, he wants Kiefer too, but he wants to kill him, we have to get out of here, Mick, Will, take Kiefer to the van, Liam, Snowy, tell the guests the party is over, they will not be coming to the wedding, it's too risky, I'll leave with Mick, Will and Kiefer now, you'll follow in 15 minutes once Dennis has been here." Dixie orders
Liam and Snowy nod and head off to the buffet. Mick and Will appear dragging Kiefer.
"It's nearly the happiest hour of our lives my sweetie." She tells him
"I don't wanna get married to you."
Dixies face turns sour. "Get him in the car, oh and Will, take this." She hands him her pen. Kiefer gulps.
24...24 walks away to a side room, she closes the door behind herself, she sits down in a corner and starts to weep. Becky walks in.
"What's wrong?" Becky asks
"I was a total bitch yesterday, trying to get Kiefer and everything and now I'll have nothing, I'll be banned from the board."
"Not necessarily, we've found out about Dixie, there's no way she can stay in charge of the board now, we'll have to find someone new to take over." Becky reassures her
"But what about Ben? He’s gone missing for the last 5 hours.Ryan couldn't find him."
"I think we have to assume the worst there."
Back in the 24van.
"Not quite the meet we were all expecting, was it?"
Ryan laughs. "Not quite, I should never have left Elisha this morning, I shouldn't have left her in the pub without giving her an answer, god knows what she's going through right now, look what she's been through today - she's had to kiss Craig."
Dixie and Kiefer sit in a limo being driven to the church.
"Why are you doing this?" he asks her
"No one loves you as much as I do, everything you touch feels perfect, every word you speak is perfect, I need you Kiefer, and you need me." She tells him
"Oh no I don't."
"Shut up, let me, Mrs Dixie Sutherland have a rest before our big hour."
Kiefer groans.
Dennis and Leslie arrive at the hall where Dixie and Kiefers pre-wedding party was taking place, from the bushes Liam and Snowy watch them. They walk inside. Liam and Snowy follow to the door.
"I can't see very well with only one working eye, what does it look like?" Dennis asks
"There's no one here, someone must have told them and they got away." Leslie replies
"I can't be staying here; I need to get back to L.A. for filming of my new film."
"Let's get on a plane then, I’m sorry the day didn't go as you planned Dennis." Leslie says
"Ah well, he’s not so bad."
"Yeah, remember when he totally outshined you at the Golden Globe ceremony."
"Grr, I’m gonna get you Kiefer Sutherland, one day." Dennis promises
They leave the hall, Snowy takes out her phone.
"Dixie, Dennis and Leslie are going back to L.A.; things are going smoothly, congratulations Mrs Sutherland… We'll be with you shortly."
As they walk to Snowys car, Dixie's mum runs up to them.
”Please, you must help my daughter" she pleads
"We are helping her, we're helping her get the man she wants, haha." Snowy replies and slams the door in Dixie's mums face.
Dixie's dad walks up. "I knew I'd regret eating those crab cakes, hey, where'd everybody go?"
Littleb, Becky, 24...24, Craig and DB sit around a table.
"We are all here to discuss who should be the new moderator of 24chat, Dixie will no longer be chatting with us so we need someone who won’t make the same mistakes." Becky tells the assembled group
"I think Ryan should take over, it's the only way I'll get in his good books again." Craig says
"I think Zev should because of her post count, have you seen it recently?" 24…24 suggets
"I think it should be me." LittleB tries
"Umm right, well I think there's only one way to decide this, a vote, the nominees are:- Zev, Becky, Ryan, Littleb, 24...24" Becky tells the group
"Aw why not me?" Craig moans
"Because you never post anymore, I will reveal the votes in 20 minutes."
Ryan pulls the 24van up outside Elok hall, Zev jumps out and runs inside, Vicky and Ryan run after her. Zev reaches the door and walks in. Ryan and Vicky follow.
"There's no one here." Zev tells the others
"Bugger" Ryan replies
"What's that?" She walks over to a table and picks up a piece of paper. She reads the note.
"Dear suckers, sorry, you're at the wrong place, I'm afraid you've been fooled, I'm on my way to the church now, in 1 and a half hours I will be Mrs Sutherland, you're to far away to get to the church on time now so I see absoloutly no harm telling you what church I’m at, St Marks. You might as well give up now, you'll never stop me. It was very nice chatting to you all, Dixie. xxx” Vicky reads
"St Marks? That's 2 hours away, we'll never make it." Ryan says
"We have to; we can't let her get away with this."
"Wait a minute, I have a plan." Ryan suggests
Ryan walks out to the van and opens up the back doors; he pulls out a 6 pack of beer. "If I drink these then I'm sure to drive faster"
"It's to risky." Vicky says
"We don't have a choice Vicky, Zev what do you think?"
Zev stares at Ryan. "Start drinking"
Becky finishes counting up the votes. She calls everyone over. "I’m about to announce the person who will be the new moderator of 24chat, drum roll please."
DB pulls out a drum and starts playing it.
"5 of us voted and the winner is...no one, it's a tie." She tells the eager audience
"A tie? I’m confused, there was an odd number of us that voted." LittleB says
"Oh yeah, I voted twice, once for myself and once on behalf of DB's baby." Craig remembers
"OK, minus the vote of DB's baby, the new moderator of 24chat is...."
