Well, not much to report today. Only to say that I may have a proper database-driven blog up soon, I realized I could host it on the SoC webserver then just link to it. Just like the comments page is! That's a weekend job though...

Stupid bloody woman. She knows that Phil has a meeting with another Project student at 10-45, and that she is at 11. EVERY WEEK. And so, every week, without fail, she knocks on the door, at 10-50, sees that Phil has a student meeting already in progress, then glares at me, then stomps out. You'd think she would have realized by now...
Anyway, as you can guess, I've just had my meeting with Phil, and I was told that I need to write up everything - when I make a decision about my project (like on the weekend, I decided I'd be using VB6 instead of .NET), I need to document why I'm making that decision, what the alternatives are, etc. This bloody project is turning out to be more hassle than it's worth! Its like that episode of Red Dwarf - Dimension Jump. Ace Rimmer is told there are an infinite number of dimensions, where every possible scenario is played out - whenever you make a decision, the opposite decision is played out in another dimension. Well, its my job to list all those dimensions, metaphorically speaking... :-P
Well, at least I have my official project title now:
M-Learning in the classroom via phone
Now going to look at the CAA website, see what I can plagiarise from there about M-Learning..

Firstly, congratulations to Rose and Ed on giving birth to a 7 pound 2 1/2 ounce baby boy, Jack Ieuan Rocky Henderson, born yesterday morning (about 6ish, apparently).

Right then, that's the good news out of the way. Bad news is I'm in Uni this time of the morning, even though I don't have to be in really till 10-45am, when I have my weekly meeting with Phil. Normally, I would have a lesson at 9, but Paula, who has just taken over form Keith, cant do the 9am tutorial, so she moved it to 2pm, when I have my E-Commerce tutorial! This means I will have to go to the tutorial on Tuesday night, at 7pm. Great! Can't wait!... :-(
However, every cloud has a silver lining, so since I was looking for a class, I thought I'd bug Jess for an hour, and chose to plant myself in J202, where she is teaching. Ideas on how to wind her up best to the usual address!
So, I guess I'd better get on with some work - got my E-Commerce evaluation of websites to do today.

Thought for the day...
There's no "I" in team - but come to think of it, there is an "m" and an "e"...

Well, that was a long day in work! Started at 7-30am this morning, and just finished now, half-hour ago. And to cap it all, we got a puncture coming back from the last job. Luckily, it was only at the bottom of the lane, so we just called out Mam and she came hurtling down the lane and gave us a tow back. Dad can change it in the morning! :-D
Mam's birthday present arrived this morning from Amazon - it was only dispatched yesterday, that was quick! Since I complained about an order being a week late last time, it seems to have quickened up!
Right then, better take a look at the E-Commerce coursework I have been saying I'll have a go at for the past three nights... And if anyone knows how to send AT commands to a virtual COM port, I'd love to hear from you! I can manage it in HyperTerminal, just need to code it somehow - preferably using VB.NET...
